What is the #GIMMEFIVE challenge?
Back in February, the first lady, Michelle Obama, kicked-off this challenge to get Americans moving and ultimately promote active lifestyles. This challenge piggy-backs off of the 2010 Let’s Move campaign. The #GIMMEFIVE challenge, however, allows for everybody to participate!
GFE Challenge to the 50+ community (post on fitness)
We challenge all of our readers to join in on GFE’s version of #GIMMEFIVE. This challenge does not limit you to exercise. Participants can exercise, show someone various acts of kindness, practice having a healthier diet (for 5 days), or you can do to make your life and/or someone else’s life better. The 50+ community is large and in charge and we want to display that to the world. In order for us to see your videos, photos, and comments be sure to use the hashtags: #GIMMEFIVE and #GFEpart2
Where do you post your challenges?
• Submit your videos via email, with “#GIMMEEFIVE- [your name]” in the subject header.
• Post your challenges on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, or Google+.
How will we see your challenge?
In order for us to see your posts, be sure to use both hashtags: #GIMMEFIVE and #GFEpart2
Does it have to be a video?
Your challenge post can be a status/comment, video or photo. Whatever you feel comfortable showcasing, that’s what you do!
We can’t wait to see what you come with. We will also be posting your challenges on social media so that we can show our Grown Folks audience what their peers are doing.
