Phyllis Sues is in her Stunning Nineties. She is a dancer, musician, actor, and a blogger for Huff/Post 50.
At 92, Phyllis has proven that she is just as vibrant as she was in her teens! At the age of 14, Phyllis had her first ballet lesson which birth a passion that [even until this day] cannot lose its flame. She knew that dance was something she would be passionate about for the rest of her life.
Phyllis began ‘Living Through the Ages’ when she opened her own fashion studio, at the age of 50. At 70, she learned to speak the French and Italian languages and became a musician (Her Tango and jazz music can be purchased on iTunes, CD Baby, and Amazon.). At 83, she flew on a trapeze, learned Tango (ballroom dance originating in Buenos Aries, Argentina) and at 85, she started practicing yoga. She wants her audiences to know that it is never too late and that she doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
In her latest blog she says that it took her three, unplanned, career changes to get her to where she is, now. She credits her will to take chances for yielding her such a satisfying lifestyle. Since she could remember, the word “challenge” has always been at the root of her mantra. She believes that not taking a challenge makes you lose an opportunity to take a chance.
“Once you face a challenge, you can begin to accept it, and if you don’t face a challenge then you’ve lost an opportunity to take a chance. You’ve lost something that could alter your life’s journey and may never have that chance again.”
Phyllis Sues is all about living life to the fullest. She continues to practice yoga every day, dances Tango and performs in shows, composes and produces music, skydives, and jumps rope.
Ms. Sues, Grown Folks Enlightened celebrates you!
